Data Scientist & Statistician
Max Moran is a Data Scientist at Analytica, where he designs and deploys data-driven systems to support advanced analytics and decision-making. In his current role, he has developed end-to-end evaluation frameworks for large language model applications, leveraging cloud infrastructure and scalable data pipelines to deliver reliable and interpretable results. His work focuses on bridging statistical rigor with modern machine learning techniques to solve complex, real-world problems.
Prior to his promotion to Data Scientist, Max served as a Data Analyst at Analytica, where he built and refined locally deployed LLM systems and conducted large-scale data ingestion and analysis on datasets exceeding 10 million rows. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Data Analysis Intern at the Center for Interacting Urban Networks at NYU Abu Dhabi, where he analyzed and visualized mobility data to support urban infrastructure research and contributed to publication-quality outputs.
Max began his professional career in real estate analytics, working as a Financial Analyst at Structure Development, where he applied statistical and computational methods to optimize data collection and analysis across multiple Texas markets.
Born & raised in Austin, TX, Max holds a Master of Science in Statistics and Data Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Texas A&M University, with a minor in Mathematics. His technical expertise includes Python, R, and modern machine learning methodologies, with experience in statistical modeling, data visualization, and experimental design.
